Salvage tug Seefalke 1924

The development of the salvage tug Seefalke was an important step in German seafaring history. She not only was the first Diesel salvage tug world wide, she also started the history of German Emergency tow vessels. One of the best known examples of this ship type is the Nordic which today operates from Helgoland.

  • filigree davits

  • includes tug boat Scheelenkuhlen

The beautiful German tug boat Seefalke is not only a fine addition to the series of German museum ships by HMV. She is also a predecessor of the Emergency Towing Vessel Nordic and as she was the first dedicated vessel for that purpose in Germany she is part of German seafaring history. This detailed model comes with very pleasing and true to detail colouring and invites to start building straight away.

The model kit includes Seefalke and two other models as well. The little tug boat Scheelenkuhlen is a beautiful little model which is absolutely suitable for a weekend build. The fishing trawler Lappland on the other hand can easily be put on display all by herself. But she would also be perfect in a dioama on the hawser of Seefalke.

HMV Lasercut Sets are especially designed for a particular HMV model as an additional but optional detail set. The laser cut parts replace parts of the original kit with more filigree and already cut out versions. Sometimes additional parts are included as well. Building your model with a Lasercut Set is easier and more detailed at the same time. But the Lasercut Set is not necessarily needed to build the model.

The material we use is high quality and already coloured paper. Thus it is not necessary to paint the laser cut parts. We recommend though to colour white parts before using them, as during the laser process burn marks might occur.
